I will be camped out at new brighton this weekend. Will be launching from new brighton and heading out towards capitola and beyond. In search of flatties or wsb. Will fish if I am solo but will have dive gear just in case  :smt002

Brian

I'm not a diver, but live right across hwy 1 from NB State Park / Beach.

I try to get out every weekend, so, If you want company, I'm in, only issue is you can go out earlier than I can, you are already in the park, I can't get in till 8:00 when the gate opens.
My fishing skills need a lot of practice, it's been pretty slow for me this spring, but it hasn't stopped me yet.

Maybe I can just meet you on the water.

Let me know your plans, if you need a shower or anything while camping there, you are welcome at our home. It's walking distance from where you'll stay
My daughters just left today for Kansas City to visit for a few weeks, so it's just me and the misses at home.

PM and we can hook up.

The gate at the day use parking lot is still the limiting factor for everyone, including campers.  There's usually no barrier to the main entrance by the front kiosk, so you could drive in and meet up at Brian's campsite at any time of day or night.  You could then wheel down the cliffside stairway at any time.  But your right that the gate to the day use area doesn't open very early, which is so JV.

I might just head over the hill and grill up some dinner with you guys if that's ok.

If you guys wanted to launch earlier there is always capitola. I will see if my old 'friend' is working to get us access earlier.

Thanks for the offer on the shower but the campground has good facilities.

I plan to start the morning by making bait on the sabiki then heading out to deeper water to start working for flatties. If I manage to snag some decent macks I might troll them around for a bit.

Slight change of plans. I will be delaying one week. Didn't get enough of the new flooring and painting done. :smt011
