Boman Lake is a beautiful lake.  Super clear water last time I was there maybe in 99'  Kokane is what we caught.  First time was on my friends Colman "scanoe" and we liked it so much, next visit I brought my 12' alum boat.   As I recall then, there were 2 launch places.  One at the dam, (long backing down narrow path) and one at the end, to the east.  Water level was down then so we used the dam launch.
If you goggle earth the lake, there is a tiny point across from Yellow Metal Mine, thats where we camped.  We did explore the mine shaft also. It didn't go back very far.
That last trip is memorable, as we got to see a show.  A couple (guy & gal) parked and crossed the lake to the mine, then started skinny dipping.  That led to other activities to which they weren't shy about.  I wondered why there was boat continually trolling out in front of the mine, then after looking in my binoculars, I realized why.  The couple was... Procreating all over a huge log not far from the waters edge!  Not a care in the world to the boat that was  passing by repeatedly. Or the two guys across the lake glued to their binoculars!  Hahahah
