My mom has a 6 acer ranch in Freestone, six miles inland from Bodega. Lot's of room for tents, cars ect..
Bodega seems not to be a great spot to catch much, however there are some nice nearby locations.
Tamales Bay, and others.  Duane and I would include halibut as a potential winning heaviest fish, but no Batrays.  Anyway accommodations are good. There is a general store across the street, and the town of Sabastapoll is 15 min away. Tomorrow once "Helen" AKA Insanneduane wakes up, he will pic the fishing location, though constructive input is quite welcome.A pares tourney potentially increases safety, while creating a different feel to the competition. I am thinking short notice, as usual but, super tentatively having the turny on Sat the 5th or Sun the 6th. with camping in freestone forthose who wish to do so the night before.  The location for tourney camping, and what not, seems good to me. Attached is more info. Please let us know if you think two weeks is enough time to get enough folks to go. It could be a nice tune up for Elk, and a chance for some of the folks who can't make Elk, to at least have a chance to out fish Duane & Dave.

I gotta work the morning of the 5th but I'd be down for an overnight and fishing on the 6th.
How does single biggest fish work with a pair?
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Re: How does biggest fish for the pair work?
The team figures out what they think is the biggest fish caught between them, and weighs in that fish for a chance to beat Duane & Dave.
