Anyone try these for lighter rigging?

Just picked up a variety of sizes from Mel Cottons a couple of weeks ago.  So far I've just used one to leash my GPS unit to the kayak, but I'm tossing around ideas for the other potential uses.  They're stainless, and pretty useful looking...I'll think of something. 

I used these my last two trips and they work great for small stuff very easy to undo one handed. Sorta like a mini leash.

I have not seen any locally (UV) but you can get them at REI , Backcountry.com and Eastern Mountain Sports from $2.50 - 4.50
