Good luck to you. I was working up there today and the river by Watt looked really nice. Saw a drift boat working out there with two guys in it as well as a little aluminum boat too. Been itching to get my yak out there but, I'll be in the Bay Area for the weekend instead.

I'll probaby get in at Red Bridge(right above sunrise) and paddle up a little and anchor. There's a deap channel and it narrows. I'll probably launch around 7:00.

So the morning was slow, nothing as far as shad. I hooked in to (what was probably) a striper whatever it was it hit hard and started peeling line off the reel.....then nothing.  I was anchored up for about an hour and a half when I decided to drift down river. I started pulling in the anchor line when it gets stuck, so I decide to drop it and swing around to pull from up river. I release my quick release and right when the rope hits the water my second big float comes off the rope and next thing I know the rope slowly sinks below the surface.  :BangHead: :angryfire: :smt076 .. I pulled out two swim baits and tried to troll over the top to snag it with no avail. After about a half hour I decided to come home grab my dive gear and head back to the river. I got in swam across the river and did one quick pass when load and behold I see the rope about 10 feet down with the smaller float. I ended up grabbing the rope and pulled myself towards the anchor and releasing it from the tree trunk. Needless to say my morning was slow and I almost lost my anchor set up but hopefully next time it will be a little more productive although I can't complain since the river is always relaxing especially in the morning.
