Launched at about 7AM and headed out the the flats out front in 40-60 feet and drifted with squid.  No butts to be found.  I did hit the motherload of 12-15" lings, but that was my only action.  I must have release about a half dozen.  Got a radio call from Dave who was about 1/2 mile north of me just off Scott's creek.  Tim was with him.  Headed up to say hi and see if I could get in on some of the rockfish and ling action they were seeing up there.  Got there and drifted with them for a while.  I did manage to pull in dinner ... a barely legal ling.  The water was nice all morning.  I headed in at 11:00 and as I got closer to shore the wind was just starting to pick up.

Nice to see you on the water Dave.  And nice meeting you Tim.

GPS was mandatory -- in the 5 or 6 hours out there, only saw the coast once.  Scariest is hearing but not seeing powerboats.

Fishing was good enough to bring home dinner.  WAF is on the rise...

Good seeing you too, Allen.  Looking forward to Elk.
