Hey Everybody,

I have two very different questions for you all:

1.  What is the point of the salt on salted soft plastics?  Should I replace the salt for storage?

2.  As far as fishing the reefs for HMB, which ones are the producers?  Just the generic ones and no secret spots of course.  I live closer to HMB than anything else and the launch is easier there as well.  With gas prices on the up, I need to stop running trips down to SC and hit closer spots.  How is the halibut fishing over in HMB?  All I hear about are rock fish and lings which is great but what else is around?  Thanks for any input  :smt006.

Good luck and tight lines.

I theory salt makes fish hold onto the bait a lot longer. I don't think it really applies to RCG type fishing. Finesses bass fishing maybe, RCG I am not buying it. I store all my plastics in procure oils.

HMB the normal reefs, green/red cans and mavericks. I have heard of striper runs on the beach as well as halibut along the beach but have not seen many caught.

Good luck!

Keeps them from tasting like plastic,in saltwater it can't make much diff, impregnated salt makes them heavier also,
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.
