LOL...I meant that he's in one of the memorabilia (sp?) stores in the Forum Shops signing autographs....but yeah!

He was there again this week-end actually.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

My encounters with the rich and famous:
When I was in 6th grade I met Mell Brooks and Cloris Leachman filming High Angziety at Fort Point
In the mid Eighties I shook hands and congratulated John Travolta as he got his star in Hollywood (also met Mary lou Henner his girlfriend at the time)
Met Rickey Hendersen (than of the Oakland A's) at the Cow Palace during a sportsmans expo.
Helped Kevin Phaegen? and Pierce Holt of the Niners (late 80's-early 90's) purchase fishing gear at Delta Bait and Tackle
Had lunch with John Madden in a Windy's in Dublin, Ca. (played H.S. Ball against his son in the early 80's)
Had Jimmy Houston in the store for a promo a few years ago
At the ICAST show in Vagas a couple years back I had the honor of being introduced to a large group of celebs - Roland Martin, Babe winkleman, Jose Wahabi?, Al Linder, Bill Dance and a few I don't remember
Had an intresting conversation with the late Mr. Bill Pool and Mr. Frank Lopresti in San Diego
And Mr. Darrell Lamonica (The Mad Bomber) of the Oakland Raiders (late 60's) is a regular customer of mine

I went to high school with Brett Favre and back in 1992 I spent a weekend with Arnold Schwarzenegger scoring youth physical fitness at MCRD. He was a very nice guy.

I went to high school with Christie Turlington. Actually, I don't even know if she was enrolled in regular school; she was already too busy working. Her sister was a distant acquaintance and I met Christie once or twice.

If you think you don't know who she is, Google her. You'd have to have been living under a rock to never have seen her face . . . oh, then again, this is a fishing site.  :smt003

A handful of times each summer I fish with this cool guy Eric Burchfield who plays bass in a band called Them Slack Jawed Sons a B**ches.

I saw him flick a spider off his croc with a rebel yell once. It was awesome.

His last quote on this was:" I don't think its very funny".

Maybe 10yrs (15yrs?)back, I was on my weekly Mtn. bike ride in down town Santa Cruz (On my way up the coast to Wilder ranch) and heard the sound of Tycho Drums so I followed the sound of the drums to a small park, and there was some sort of Japanese celebration in progress.  I got to see Pat Morita (Karate Kid) he was the speaker or special guest I guess.
He didn't looks so good, walking very stiffly, slowly, with a cane, He told a few jokes  and did his signature arm movement "Wax on - Wax off"  the crowd cheered. then went into a speech. I left then.

I met a lot of hunting celebs, the most memorable was Ted Nugent.  He killed a mountain lion off my hounds when I was guiding for High Desert Outfitters out of Elko.  I also met Mooch, he ate all my cioppino.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I've been fortunate enough to meet and/or play with a handful of niche music celebs over the last 10 years or so.  One of my favorites though was playing tuba with Francis Ford Coppola in a community band he helped found.

I have not met Mooch, though I did witness him and a few others acting suspiciously at Albion last year.

I was a shaven-headed little guy at MCRD in '92, but I must have missed Arnie.

The first thing I asked my interpreter in Okinawa was if he knew Mr. Miyagi. He said he'd never heard of him. I was bummed.

I was standing way too close to Tom Waits a few weekends ago in a Sebastopol bookstore as he was mumbling all sorts of crap to himself. Dude needs to give his hat an oil change.

I work for John Ondrasik of Five For Fighting, Sports host legond Steve Hartman and Heather Locklear's mom!
They are all really cool and treat me like a normal person.
I was the most giddy when I chilled out with Chris Cornell of Sound Garden a few years back.
( I really don't think he knew who I was, which was cool.) :smt002
My band opened for Foghat, Faster Pussycat, GnR, Warrant, Robin Trower and Bo Diddley back in the day. :smt006  They were all pleasant.
I fished with Dennis Spike and Mark Pierpont many times.  Those cat's were pretty down to earth for the record.
Person I would most like to fish with;
Kid Rock  :smt003
