Hello all!  :smt006

I'm done hibernating for the winter and want to get out there again!

Since I really only know of a couple women kayakers (not that you guys aren't great - because you've all been very cool to me) - I decided to get my own friends out there. There are going to be 5 of us. They will be renting from MBK - I will be bringing my own - would love to get out there and fish in the AM.

I am still fairly new at this and haven't been out since our fishing tournament last August!

Let me know if you want to hook up!

Kim aka Prowlinnorcal

Love it!

Welcome back!  The madness just never goes away for good!

I'm Down!  But WHY WAIT!!!  That is like, DAYS away!!!  Lets go this weekend!  Get your feet and yak wet!

Been wondering where ya been lurking since meeting you on the water with SCAllen last year.

Cheers!

One and all are invited! Women AND men invited! Didn't mean for my post to sound like a "women only" thing :smt001 Just trying to recruit more kayakfisher women!

Hope to see more people penciling it in on their calendars. The women I'm bringing are great fun to be around - lots of laughter going on!

Well I will still plan on heading there on the 21st, weather permitting of course.  Going to Salinas this weekend to visit grandma, so I will more than likely head over for at least a recon session or maybe a quick outing!

Will your friends be fishing, or just yakin?  I should have my new VHF by then, so I can loan out my spare to someone else.

Yes! Sin Coast - bring her! Some of my friends that I'm bringing are into fishing but have never fished from a kayak - one of them will be fishing that day also  - I would like to get out there early to fish - the ones renting a kayak can't get out on the water until 9 AM,  so it would be great to have a few others to fish with.

Let me know if you find a sitter and can make it out there. I'm hoping some others will "sign up" for fishing that morning as it gets closer.

Sincoast, AlsHobieOutback,

I am going to plan on getting out there early (6 AM?) on this Saturday (June 21st).  Sincoast did you find a sitter? Hopefully you can bring your wife too. That would be great.

Anyone else up for this Saturday to get out on the water behind MBK?

Looking forward to it!

Kim

Love it!

My kayakfisherwife is going to be in that area (Seaside) anyway. We might try and join you. Depends on work as always.  :smt011

That's great. I'll be there in my Ford F250 with the yellow Prowler 15.

See you Saturday!

This morning I was kindly reminded that we have some more housework to do on Sat (need to pick up a yard of fill-dirt and the place is closed on Sundays). So I will not be able to fish on Saturday. Bummer. But Good Luck with the fishing (and with the recruitment of new kayak anglers!). I will probably be out there on Sunday. My friend speared two big halibut (including a 43 inch monster!) last Sunday near the beach hotel.

MBK will not rent their kayaks out to you if they know your are intending to use them for fishing.  MIke

Just a heads-up for the people planning to launch from MBK tomorrow. There are some signs posted in the MBK lot that say No Parking 6/21 for some event. The signs appear to block off half of the lot. So you might have to park outside the MBK lot. Its usually better to park along Del Monte Ave anywats because it’s free (as opposed to $8/day to park in the MBK lot or the lot adjacent to MBK).
Wish I could go fishing tomorrow because the weather is perfect. Good luck!

I'm sorry, but don't think I will be joining you guys at MBK tomorrow.  Will probably do some place more local to me, since the heat is gonna probably kick me off the water early.
