Took a day off from work yesterday and headed up to Van Damme with buddy Carey & John.  Got up at Van Damme at 8:30am and start setting up.  The wind was howling big time and also pretty rough.  We got in the water and we had to work a little harder to get our limit at the south island.  I managed to speared some rockcod and a few good size pirch.  There were few other divers around but we were the only yaks up there. When we left, the wind and waves were getting really bad.  I'm hoping to sneak back up there this Saturday. Good luck and be safe out there.

Aloha bruddah Ernie, hozit going.  Yeah, we did pretty good yesterday but we have to work very hard for it. I'm thinking of heading up there on Monday if the weather settles down.

Hi Fred:

A little extra work makes you stronger, Fred. I guess you didn't shoot the "Caves".  Generally speaking if it's rough going at VanDamme,
it will be like a Washing Machine every where else.
Did you checkout the S. Island,  S. end Lee side crack with Ducks in a row?
