Great time for an upgrade! I seem to lost mine anyway. My w20 been MIA for 2 months.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about upgrading my WPi. The camera is fine, but I'm having a hard time seeing the small lcd when outdoors. That seemed to get worse after my lasik.

hmmm, have now read some of the company review.  i'm gonna chance it, up to the point of talking withe the customer service rep to confirm the order.  even after that, i can always contest the charge through my amex dispute resolution protocol.  amex is pretty accommodating.  stand fast and i'll keep y'all posted.

Fuzz, thanks for the heads-up.  Having dealt with a similar situation concerning a $1300 lens and tripod purchase from another online vendor, I should have bothered to check it out before ordering.  But I was tired, and the money is coming from a school account so I wasn't overly concerned.

I called the vendor today & didn't get any grief, or even the hard sell that I expected.  When I told him that I was only the middleman and was purchasing the camera for my karate club, he stopped the sales pitch and said he'd process the order, have a good day.

Melissa, no worries...we're all grown-ups here (well most of us...even Mooch!)  and in the end it's our job to check on things like this.  You were just passing on what you saw as a great deal, so thanks for that! 

I'll keep everyone updated after the camera arrives.  If the display is all in Japanese, at least I can get my wife to show me how to operate it!
