I'm planning to hit Fort Ross or Stillwater Cove on Saturday... plan to hit the water by around 6:00 AM to see if there are any Salmon hanging around... then I'll be hunting for Mr. Lingzilla... maybe a little Ab diving too if I have a partner.

Any takers?

I'm usually gung-ho for fort ross, but since my wife's in scuba class this weekend I'll need some kind of babysitting arrangement to be able to go.  I can ping my in-laws and see if I can put something together, but the odds aren't in my favor.

I called salt point's hotline yesterday and they said that the vis was 3-5ft.

Erik,

I'll be visiting my parents in New York so I won't be able to make it on Saturday.  But from what I've seen (personal experience and reading posts on Coastside) the salmon along the Sonoma coast have been near shore lately and moving north.  Two weeks ago they were right along 10 mile beach between Pt. Reyes and Tomales Pt.  Last week they were off Salmon Creek, then Duncan's Landing and most recently Goat Rock.  With any luck they should be to Ft. Ross by Saturday.  Good Luck.

OK... the plan is a 6:00 AM launch at the beach below Fort Ross... last call for stragglers.  Looks like me and Skyboy Joe for right now.
