I salute you  my wife wants to Kiss you  . I know it's always a little iffy aproaching an injured animal you are the man. If we hook up Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner or Beers are on me well done. Sure hope somebody claims him.

Years ago while exploring the American River with my son for shad. A raft with several persons drifted by and asked if I would relieve them of this black dog. They had acquired it up stream. I took it on board and motored up stream looking for an owner. No one seemed to be missing a black lab. He was wearing no identity. Decided to keep same. During that same trip we proceded to the Feather River for several days. While trying to land a shad that i had hooked the lab jumped out of the boat and tried to retrieve same. From that trip on we called him Shad. For the rest of his life he was a great companion
