Thinkin bout drifting some shinners this weekend over in Paradise.
Anybody else?   winds are gonna be down and the weather should be HOT!
Thinkin about chillin&grillin? if any contributers care to "posse-up"
It is a SWEET spot for a day trip!
...$8 pay   *clean restrooms  *bbq's&tables  *lots of grass   *sandy beach

LAUNCH NOTE~ they will let you drive down to launch area on the weekdays only
WEEKENDS you will need your WHEELS! it's a steep paved grade to
the lot.

pic2~ is the lot from above looking down to the hunt grounds
pic3~ is to get you pumped-up!

I'll TRY to attach a map from the freeway to the pier (short-cut) and a map to the shinner stop tomorrow morning.

stand by........

Man I'd love to (I'dEVENmaketheDRIVE) but I'm stuck ashore this weekend unless its someplace I can do with only a 2 hour window :smt012.
That launch looks sweet. I paddled around there years ago doing day tours but we usually launched from some little park near sausalito & toured Richardson bay. Margaritaville patrons would pour beer down to us :smt044!

OH hell... thats pretty tempting!  I'm a south guy too, but in looking up the distance, its only a few more miles to travel there than Carmel for me.  I'll give some serious thought to it, for a Saturday fun day!  Any places to camp near by?

there is a camping at China Camp State Park (San Rafael) It is a walk-in though, from the parking lot...they give you a whelled cart to load your stuff into......it might do for an overniter?

Adam,
Is there a place near by to get bait? Evertime I "google" it I come up with a place next to "China Camp" And the biggest question is "What time do you want to hit the water"? I have to try out my new wheels, so this is a good place to do that.  :smt044

gates [email protected] can see all the hunting grounds from there. If sat. is your day? bring the wheels, if friday? you can drive down to launch spot(less people)

Loch Lomand Bait (Fraisers') in SanRafael, off of san pedro rd.  exit is central SanRafael/second st.
or the place where he gets it from.....Leonards in Port Sonoma.

Sounds good Adam. I'll know later in the week what works for me. I'll stay in touch.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
