Hooked up w/ Littoral @ 7:00 a.m. sharp.  Near perfect weather, next to no groundswell ,smallish windswell & pretty warm. I watch Greg take a freak wave to the chest off the launch, 10 seconds later it's a lake again!

2 minutes off the beach he hooks a legal Ling in 15ft of water, not bad for a start.  I had a fat little Gopher but chose to toss it back, one for the fish gods as it was my 1st fish of the season.  No more luck so we headed North.  Fished in 20-30 ft. of water for over an hour & a half to no avail.

Worked our way back to our launch spot to find it was better close in.  Hooked 2 good sized Yellows in the same spot Greg caught his Ling.  I also had a short cab, 12 incher & I believe we each had a few other scraps.

Nice day, warm, clear & on the calmish side.

sounds like around wednesdayish the fishing gods may smile upon us.  i saw high pressure moving inland, a possible cessation of these dastardly winds!!!

Epic weather out there this morning. Sunny, calm and flat...

Water still a bit murky for good fishing IMO, but I'm definitely going to give that area another shot once once conditions improve.

Piedras next trip PJ!

Where is Estero County?  That looked like decent conditions.  Was the water still super cold?

It's a spot we explored in San Luis Obispo that I think has real potential once conditions improve. Access restrictions due to plovers is loosening up in some areas. We're checkin things out.

Yeah, the water is still pretty cold.

Nice!!  Those rockies (grass?) are pretty plump.  Looks like you guys have some great bull kelp and structure to pick from.  That launch looks kind of intersting too, super scenic area.  Would like to explore there some day.

PJ -

Very nice fish and report. Personally don't like those tidepool launches but they sure look cool in pics.
