HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO

If I still lived in LA, me and my homies would be doing a carne asada lunch at Olvera Street.  Have a good one NCKA'ers.

It's been a while since I've been to la plazita olivera.

Good thing we don't need no stinkin' olvera street...that's what we have our driveways for! Isn't that right Art?  You know how we do!

And yes....my neighbors brought out their sofa and barbecued in their front yard

Although my land lord was clearly dissapointed to see that I didn't mow the lawn....I simply told him that Filipinos don't mow....we carry airline baggage...coz that's how we roll

As for me, I don't really partake in what Cinco De Mayo has mostly become...a reason to drink Corona and apparently a reason to play air guitar (according to wikipedia).

If I'm going to celebrate something I'd much rather celebrate something like Los Niños Héroes(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ni%C3%B1os_H%C3%A9roes) who I believe better represent some aspects of the culture.
