Met up with the 'Hunter at Monty for a guided trip. Spent a solid 8 hrs in the seat for nary a nibble. The only time I got excited was when I hooked my own line on the the second rod. It was also exciting seeing fish jump and roll.
The weather was good with winds that came and went most of the day, but stayed and increased at about 5.
I'll go again but need to do an overnighter as it's a 3 hour haul for me.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Montezuma is a real easy launch, but that is a big place and lots of room for the fish to roam.  It is hit or miss for sure.  There other option, which I have not explored in many years is to drive down grizzly island road....over the bridge.  Many years ago I was down that road and it does go all the way to the other side of the island, but I was doing science and there is/was a fish and game property that might have a gate...anyway if we can get across the Island.  it dumps you right out into Susuin Bay, between Roe and Ryer Islands.  This is the absolute honeyhole for sturgeon.  I gotta explore this more, but thought I would post it, if anyone is headed there soon and wants to explore.
