I won't be able to attend but I'm guessing that this is open to all forms of flotation, PBs included?

If the fish in tomales respond to small tides, then you couldnt pick a much better day to run the event. 0.4 ft. diff.

Originally we were looking at putting on an open water swim at this location on this date but the tide hit me square in the face :smt012  I said this is a good Halibut tide there might be alot of boats to look out for so we changed up the event and an instant classic was born  :smt044   HALIBUT DERBY  :smt001   Getting more and more prizes for this event, around a $1000 so far and building. This is open to power boats and kayaks, men's, women's, and youth classes in both. See you all there,

Jim,
Do we have to put in at Nick's. Ive heard of a good bite further south. Could we say, register and drive to Marconi, fish and drive back to Nick's before 2pm?

Sharky, you can launch were you want, I have powerboat guys coming from Bodega to fish the derby, as long as you fish inside the bay. The invisible line is from Tomales point to the North end of Dillon Beach. As long as you check in with us first I see no problem. I'm hoping that people police themselves on this boundary, I am allowing people to go outside the bay however for fishing for bait if they want. See you all there,    :smt006

I fished the bay Monday and Wednesday for nada! I was dragging a anchovy behind a flasher. That makes 10 attempts at Tomales Bay for halibut and no hook-ups, unless you count the dog nose sharks and crabs.

CHEERS!
