Sensative to the retail shops, I vaguely posted this kayak for sale Friday outside Marin and Sonoma.  Saturday, the Native dealer at Clavey in Petaluma says, "For as many kayaks as you sell in a year, I'm not going to stand in the way of somebody getting a great deal." What a guy!  Everything I've ever heard about Clavey has been solid and all feedback from kayak fishermen.

A friend here in town has a Hobie Quest for sale, used a few times.  He's  a traditional paddler with a couple of touring speed kayaks and bought this on a whim.  He ain't much of a fisherman though, paid almost a grand with tax and wants $750 for the Quest.  Not a great deal but still a deal and I think he'll throw in a paddle, not sure.  I know the boat, it's brand new. Gimme a holler and I'll hook you up.

Here's the craigslist listing for that Native tandem.

I'm not in the kayak sellling biz and when the stuff doesn't sell fast, I blow it out just short of losing my ass on the deal.  Luckily, it all evens out.  This Native Tandem is a sweet deal I hope someone can take advantage of.  I think $850 is under wholesale, not sure.  The only boat you'd need on the bays.

I started to prep a Hobie Quest for my own use (I sanded off the logo on the hatch and left a scuff mark) and hooked up on another model. The boat is Orange and complete with seat and fiberglass shaft paddle.  On Craigslist for $700 today.  $650 to a Norcaler.  I think these are the last 2 kayaks I'll sell through the summer.
