Anita and I are moving to Sacramento and are currently looking for jobs up there, does anyone have any leads or recommendations?? I'm a journeyman painter, with lots of other skills, tile and stone setting, general carpentry and "handyman" skills, I'm not too worried about finding work for myself, but any help is good help.
Anita has a degree public relations, and is looking for a position in marketing, writing, website content management ( she's so baddass!!). She also is currently employed as a personal assistant.
We're moving in the Fair Oaks area, real close to the Nimbus hatchery, Lake Notoma and Folsom.
House prices here in Marin are WAY out of our range...

Welcome to the neighborhood. Maybe you'll be the one to figure out Lake Natoma.

Ben, one source of job availability, other than the newspapers, is Craigslist.

Our plan is to move up as soon as Anita finds a job up there. We love that area, and Mooch, its only about 100 miles, we'll still be in the "hood".
Natoma is not an easy one to figure out. Ive heard live bait way upstream can get you limits, but Ive yet to experience that...

Thanx everyone and I dont plan on missing any turnys, north coast will be a breeze, Tahoe is close by and the delta is in the backyard. The thing is, a million dollar house in Marin goes for under 200K in Sac...
and I dont think anyone will give a hoot if I have a couple of yaks, a canoe and a hauler parked in the driveway. Well... maybe Anita. I can always camo them with several old appliances.
