Very pretty before the PB's get there.
I have put a lot of hours on this lake for barely scratch. It used to be you could park near the dam and walk your yak down. Now it is fenced in so you are forced to pay. For $13 to enter with one kayak they better start putting some quality fish in there. Since they won't I am done. :smt013

Tote,
The pay to launch does suck.  Camanche is $25.  Inflation!
But, smallmouth fishing going to pick up at sly park when the water warms up.
I live near Folsom lake & most of the time it's known as the "Dead Sea" :smt011.  But a couple months out of the year it rocks when the water is high & clear.

I'll be back to Sly Park when it warms!

TWENTY-FIVE BUCKS FOR CAMANCHE!!??!! Now I know why my buddies never take the turn in the road to that lake, instead heading for Pardee or Amador.

Camanche is $25.  Inflation!

Camanche for a car and boat is $15.50 then another $4 to fish.
Here are the fees:

A vehicle and boat at Sly Park is $18.

Never fished Camanche. It just looks too much like a skiers lake for me to want to take the kayak there.

Good for you to keep on pluggin, but when the plug needs pullin? YANK IT!
I got a few of those places on my list too!  I ain't no CHEAPO (ok, yes i am) but paying so much, just to fish is kinda silly....but after awhile, i get over it and pay the $$ to get skunked somemore.
