Hi Jeff. I don't recall Lock Lomond ever being on the "do not eat" list. However, be sure that your kayak contains no water or mud, or you'll be turned away, due to the snail infestation issues.

Troll north of the island for trout with Rapala SR5, flashers with night crawlers, Daiwa Shiner. Bring a downrigger. Good luck!

I was paddling there today. I saw two boats with limits. They must have stocked it.

Make sure you check inside your hatches for any water.

Hey, Jeff,

What time do you plan to launch? I had planned to stop at Loch Lomond tomorrow but later in the day. However, I could easily forgo Mel Cotton's sale and paddle Loch Lomond before I make my run to Kayak Connection. It would be good to fish with you again and catch up on life since Del Valle. I'll have my VHF on 69 if you don't have a chance to reply.

Loch Lomond is the drinking water for Santa Cruz.  So if you think the people there are normal  :smoke then the fish should be safe...

Seriously I have had the planter trout from the lake and they are safe to eat.
