Steve, thanks for the advice. Yeah, I do Stinson on my kayak from time to time (Linda Mar all the time). Very harrowing on a rough day.
Well, I actually am a writer. I work with the Marin IJ sports page sometimes. I would like to do a story on kayak salmon fishing as a way of promoting pollution-free, low impact fishing. (I was on a party boat for the first time in years two weeks ago and the whole scene disgusted me, with bleeding shakers being flung overboard and plastic bags flying off with the wind.) Anyway, I DO NOT want to give away any secret rockfish or halibut holes. Salmon come and go, move around and their populations are in relatively good condtion here in California, and I personally think it would be a good thing to clue people in to a way of catching fish that provides physical exercise and does not burn gasoline.
Any Marin residents out there who would like to talk with me? My email is allybland@yahoo.com. Thanks a lot.
