Met up with Bryan (HobieBlue) around 3:30 to a windy windy delta, we launched off the abandoned dock and headed over to my spot. Rough rough rough, maybe a little more than my trip on Monday. We get over to a calm break and start throwing jerkbaits. The fishing was decent for about the first hour and a half or so then shut off. We caught the last bit of outgoing and got stuck with the slack. Oh well. I ended up with maybe 5 fish with one fat 3lber and Bryan got a nice striper and a few smaller ones and a couple LMB as well. I had a few LRDs as well, didn't hook anything big this time. I got bit more on the crankbait today rather than the usual jerkbaits. Neither of us threw plastics, a little too windy. I am sooo glad I brought my waders today, I stayed bone dry. I actually ended up pulling my scupper plugs because I was getting so wet in the yak. lol. Ok so here is the coolest thing of all. One trip LAST week I broke a rod and switched reels, and when I turned to put the reel in my milk crate and it went into the water. I come back today fishing the area when something in the tules catches my eye, what do you know! My reel! Its gonna need some cleaning, but at least it's out of the water and all the line is still on it! Hurray! I even snapped some pics of Bass Pro Shops for you guys on the way home  :smt003

Ok now onto the pics.

Jeff

Oh and photobucket always uploads my pictures in the wrong order. So chronological order from the bottom up, lol

Funny that you found your previous "donation", right on.  The dock is a little more user-friendly than the levy, eh?

Jeff,

Thanks for the trip to your spot.  Keep working it, that is THE SPOT for big stripers.
I was tired from today and the past week of fishing, but it was worth the effort to meet up.  It was also nice toppin' the day off with a keeper striper (released)!  Thanks for the pics.

Nice work Jeff and Bryan.

BTW Jeff, where is the new BPS going in?  I'm somewhat familiar with Manteca as I grew up in Modesto and have passed through numerous times.  What is the exit - looks like it might be on HW 120?  And do they have an estimated time of opening other than "Coming Soon?"

Actually, I did find a swimbait Tuesday, pinned to a bridge pillar at low tide.   :smt023

Nice recovery of your line!:smt044(&reel) that's a SWEET all-around good ol' hookup!.....except for that wind.   can't argue with wearing waders and staying dry though...it becomes addicting.
thanks for the pics and report of THE spot!  :smt003
