Steelhead waiting to die

I went for a quick drift this afternoon and found this poor old steelhead waiting to die in the Russian River. Poor fella!

It's amazing how long they live even though their body is rotting right off 'em. Thanks for the flick Mahi.

I still think that might be a salmon - can we get the scwa-opinion on this?

I'm not a steelie expert, but I've never seen one get all rotten like that, and I've seen lots of salmon like it...
