The spawn is ON in the Delta.  The bass are moving into the shallower water and are biting.  I hooked my first of five fish this morning on the third cast.  A nice fiesty 5 lb 4 oz bass.  About 25 minutes later, 4 lb 5 oz.  Then, before my first hour on the water ended, the big one hit.

The big fish went 9 pounds 4 ounces.  I was lucky to catch it near a dad and his son bank fishing, so I got a better photo.  When I held it up, the boy asked if it was a halibut.  Nope, that's a big bass.

I caught two more that averaged 2 pounds each.I fished through the outgoing as the bite turned off.  I'm headed back out tonight.  I'll be fishing that area all week long if anyone wants to hook-up.  I've posted in Hook-ups, or just PM me.

Bryan

Pictures in order: 5 lb 4 oz; 9 lb 4 oz; 2 lb 15 oz; 4 lb 5 oz (not pictured 1 lb 14 oz)= 23 lb 10 oz five fish limit.

Nice work! I was supposed to go out to Frank's Tract yesterday, but ended up with too much to do at home.  :smt013

Right on man.  Thats quite a turn around from last time we were out there.  Did you focus on the banks more than the islands?  If you're still going this weekend, saturday is good for me.
