Fished the rockwall today (suprise, suprise).  Frank was out there too, gettin limbered up for an afternoon go at Montys.
Launched right about at the bottom of the tide, and took the scenic route out to the end of the wall draggin' a rattle trap.  Frank stayed back to cover the flagpole area.

So far, bait has been hard to come by for me this year.  At least its still somewhat early.  Anyway, last night was the same deal and all my hard work was rewarded with ONE shiner.  Turns out that one was all it was gonna take.

Shortly after pinning the feisty bugger on and dropping him down in 30' of water, I got a really nice takedown that just kept going.
Sweet, I thought, definitely not one of those pingpong paddles that littered the place last year.
Turned out to be a respectable 35" hali, my first for the year.

Called it shortly after that, as did Frank.  Packed everything up, and I was off to clean fish, and then crash on the couch for a few hours.

Water clarity is still not the greatest, but the tide was movin' good and ya can't knock the weather we got today...

Nate,

Awesome catch, I suspect that your Bro JTF got you going to catch a bigger butt.  I still haven't been able to make any bait and dragging anchovy popsicles doesn't give me much confidence.   :smt013  I'll see you on the water when I get some decent bait.   :smt006

Hey Nate,

When I get my yak from SC, we'll go fish the ARW on the regular.  Well done and take care.

Hey Bungle... ...... CONGRATS!  :worship

That's a big one compare to the first legal butt you scored at the Wall last year.

I knew someone would catch a nice one there soon with a help of nice weather and LIVE bait.... and you sure enough you did it.

I must confess, I tried there Friday for a few hours .  I knew it was going to be a challenge.  It was a bit windy, choppy, and I didn't have live bait.
