According to PFIC the halibut are starting to show up on the berkeley flats.  Late March is usually the best part of the bay halibut season, they seem to show up hungry, then pace themselves more until fall.  That might be a higher probably option than sturgeon for a couple weeks here.

OP is seeing them too. Some real fatties. 40" and 20lber caught last week.

Halibut in berkeley is to PFIC like salmon at linda mar is to us, so it's probably the best place to monitor in the spring to see when the bite warms up.
