Its a free launch. But its a steep downhill carry or cart it down.

Wish I could join you but unfortunately it won't happen.  Good luck.

BTW, is your cove near the East or West shore?  I know you don't launch from a ramp, but what is the nearest one, Fleming, Blue Oaks, or Moccasin?

Michael

Not sure yet if I'm going or not.  I'll let you know.

I talked to a bass pro friend of mine who has fished Pedro a lot the last few weeks.  Water temp is about 57*.  Tip for bass: work the points with wood or trees with senko's, jerkbaits, or split-shot a green pumkin/black fleck baby brush hog.  I have no report on the trout bite.

What time are you headed up?

as I said before I have to work this weekend...
so g-luck!  the fish were jumping inside coves everywhere around 30-40 ft of water.
I'm pretty sure you'll get them.
can't wait to see your report! :smt006

Naoki, where's your report? :smt006   That's a lake that was in my back yard when I lived with mom.  Would love to hear how you did.

but I don't have anything to report...
It was Monday...  I went check out two other reservoirs (Modesto & Turlock) but they were both still very muddy.
I got to Don Pedro after 2pm & launched at Flemming Meadows.  I didn't realized that its about 5 miles from Jeff's secret spot, and I was going slow trolling, so by the time I got there I had to leave...  When I got back to boat ramp, it was already dark...
I got some hits on my broken back rapala but didn't stick (it keeps doing that... :smt011)...  I got some small LMB on same troll pattern but they were really small... :smt009
The water looked very good & weather was super nice tho...
so I bet Jeff will do good! :smt006

Ditto, it is always nice hearing a report from your home lake, especially since I don't get to visit it as much as I used to.

When you paddled out of Flemming Meadows, which direction did you head?  Straight out, left, or right?  Just curious.

If he headed towards the cove I suggested he headed to the right

Jeff--I decided to head to the Delta again.

Had some good luck in Whites Slough today.  6 bass, biggest 3-4 lb.  All but one 2 pounds or better.

Good luck at Pedro.

Be careful on that lake at night in a yak.  I almost got run down by a full speed Bass Boater gunning out of the FM harbor with no running lights!  Yeah, I had my flag up, a REI Running light on the stern, guess he didnt see em', and was just glad the pedals didn't fail me as I tried to run for my life when he zoomed by! :smt013
