Slow windy day on the delta

The delta looked promising, but did not deliver today.  It was windy and the tide was low all day.  152 sumo and I only boated one fish between the two of us.  The fish are holding in weedy areas about 6-10 feet deep.  Fish the hydrilla pockets and tules.  Witnessed a lady boat several fish from her catamaran float tube thingy...heard her hollering and shouting as she landed a 6.3 lb bass.  One lucky lady.  Saw another PB land a 3 lb bass on a live minnow.  Most boaters reported limited success.

I was yesterday on the Delta too - fished Whiskey Slough area, which has some protection from the wind. Problem was water was very murky - usually this area is a bit clearer than other Delta areas. Temp was good, in high 50s. I use a fly rod, and my big bushy offerings, both topwater & otherwise, got no interest at all. Glad you guys got something. Bassboaters I talked with also said it was slow.
