The day started off after lunch. I managed to not hit In&Out on the way to the fishing grounds. I was greated with falling ash from a not so distant field burning.

IMGP0598

I picked a nice spot to pull over shortly after the bridge, which ended up being about a mile short of Jeffrm20's launch point. I caught the second half of the incoming tide. I toll a clown colored deep diving rebel up to the correct launch point. Where I had to take evasive kayaking to avoid an offshore cruiser that was HAULING ARSE by. Boater was not by any means rude and gave me ask much space as he could, but going a little too fast for the narrow channel.

I switch over to trolling a shallow diving bomber in a striped bass pattern. I let out and troll trolling again. There was about 10 mph wind and it was my first time out in the prowler 15. I stopped and started drifting backwards while I took a photo of the smoke cloud. I tuck my camera back away and resume paddling. BAM!  Fish on. Not too big, 22".

Troll past the first opening in the levee break ( trolling the channel )....BAM! Fish comes unbuttoned. Reeling back to the yak....BAM! He's back.

It was back to back to back fish for the next two hours. It was a fish about every 150 yds. Nothing big, smallest was about 16".

I throw one in the box at 28" that got the second treble in the gills and was bleeding.

Action slowed as the tide slowed. Slack tide sucked fishing wise. I trolled across a point and ended up hooking up with this nice guy.

IMGP0605

I owe Jeff a beer for scouting the spot out.

Yeah water is about a foot of clarity. They are chasing and hitting the lures like its a crystal clear pool lol
