Paige has been harrassing me to take her to CL so we can hang out, and she can get a bass and some Jr. AOTY points.  She also wanted to try lippin' her own fish.  After hearing about the WFO conditions on Friday we headed over Sat. afternoon.

We arrived to find big chop, high winds, and a tired Hydrospider just getting off the water.  Terrry said he'd fished all morning with the crew and it was SLOW, cold and bumpy...Paige was still ready to go, so Terry got fired up for Round 2.

We bucked the wind and chop up to the spot. It was chilly and windy as Terry promised but Paige totally hung in there.

Once we got there she couldn't resist hassling the turtles in the trees...

Once we got to fishing there was very little going down...it was slow and there were several boats in the area getting nothing except Terry who picked up a few.    We headed through the trees.

Once on the other side Terry had a take down that didn't stick, and then it happened...Paige was on.  We cheered her on as the fish gave her a good tussle.  After a few minutes it was at the boat, and Paige reached down for the grab.  Success!!!

We called it a day and headed off to the Bar for a celebratory Shirley Temple and some food.  If you haven't eaten at the Richmond Park Bar your missing out...the food rules!!!  We finished the day with a few rounds of pinball.  Awesome time!!!

So that puts her in the lead for the Jr. division right?  BTW, that is not any ordinary smile.  She is beaming with pride.

That would be great if the powers that be could post the Jr. Division on the sight.  I know the young 'uns would love to see their "name in lights."  Although it might make for a competitive White household. :smt003

Paige White you totally rock, and that bass is awesome.  Thank you for the inspiration for showing us older parents how to roll. You deserve some kind of AOTY points for that.  Please be nice to the turtles in the trees.
