I live right up the road from Brown's ravine.  I've fished three times in the last 2 weeks near the south fork channel for bass.  I did great (for Folsom) on the first 2 trips.  I caught several bass in the 2-4 lb range.  Nice pre-spawn fat fish.
Look for bait in the 10-20 ft level & throw/drag salt & pepper tube baits to simulate the bait fish. 
Of course, live large minnows is the real deal if you want to go to the trouble.

I hear the large minnows work drifting down from the prison at Natoma also.
