Gee PK, I hope not!  I plan to go fishing here in Mendocino/Fort Bragg as soon as the season opens on the 16th, but probably not in the kayak, until I'm more experienced.  I've got a friend with a small fishing boat in Noyo. Being way offshore on a kayak would make me nervous, except with a big group of friends and hopefully a PB for safety.

Dave/Pescadore has a good idea though:  Launch at Noyo on a calm day, then follow the current South to Jughandle or Russian Gulch, trolling for salmon all the way.
