I still hadnt fully recovered from saturday and was content to go home from a long shift and sleep.
Then Naoaki decides he wants to go bassin and is leaving Davis at 10 and headed my way.
I was faltering at first, but the sun was out. Im easy that way.
Still finding fish on rocky points with steep ledges. imagine that.
Today was actaully warm enough so that my hands worked right.
Threw the senko a few times even though I know better, but its still fun. nothing
Its was noticed on saturday ,as well as today, that alot of the bass had red stained mouths.
I followed that observation up with a red/brown crawjig and worked it through areas that I know hold fish. nothing.
Went to a deepdiving crankbait in pillings with surgical like precision, even impressing myself. nothing
Finally, a slow sinking swimbait in the appropriate flavor. nothing.

Luckily Naoaki and I did not go to RP/konocti bay without back up.
HAD A BLAST!
thank you Naoaki!
ill let him add to the report but here are some pictures.

Terry those are some nice on the water shots of Naoaki.  I wish I had found the time to fish Clear Lake at least once when I was still in NorCal.

Looks like Naoaki just took the lead away from ChuckE.  I'm guessing that lead will last a whole five days.  Enjoy Naoaki!

Naoaki,

Nice little video and fish.
I can't believe you haven't posted to AOTY yet.  I'm telling you, your lead is fleeting so you better post soon.

By my calculation you have 162 for your sturgeon and 21.5*8=172 for your bass giving you a respectable two fish total of 334 pts.  Enjoy it now before ChuckE catches another fish.

The leader board change drew my attention to this report.

CONGRATS.... NAOAKI!...  You did have a great day of fishing.
Wow... those fish look like footballs.  Nice job getting those pics of the fish on the Hawg Trough.  Danglin, take notice. :smt002

I think Freddie is gasing up his Toyota truck and headed to Clear Lake right now.  Hmmm... I just might follow him. :smt005

Naoaki works as a fisheries biologist and is a member of the American Fisheries Society so I'd hope he'd get that right.  If not Jim "InSeine" Hobbs should fire him.

FYI ChuckE, you need a ~17" LMB to pass Naoaki at this point.  I think at Clear Lake that's considered a runt.
