Southern California's great kayak fishing groups are hosting the Fred Hall Show's kayak fishing center at Long Beach and Del Mar. NCKA was the talk of last year's SF show; what a shame it didn't return.

If any of you make it south, stop on by. We'd love to see you and talk shop.

The show hours are:

Fred Hall Long Beach
Weds March 5 thru Fri March 7: 2 pm to 9:30 pm
Sat March 8: 10 am to 9:30 pm
Sun March 9: 10 am to 7 pm

Fred Hall Del Mar
Weds March 26 thru Fri March 28: 1 pm to 9 pm
Sat March 29: 10 am to 9 pm
Sun March 30: 10 am to 6 pm

Are you going to be at a particular booth? I'll be there for the first couple of days.

I'll be here and there during the show, Thurs, Sat and Sun: the Quantum Kayak Fishing Center, the Western Outdoor News booth, or running down stories here and there. Hope to see you! Are you going to squeeze any fishing into your time down south?

Probably not. I've never surf launched before...not ready for a yard sale. But then who is?

I'm seriously thinking about going to the Long Beach show.  I'd like to hit the show Friday and maybe fish part of the day Saturday.

Anybody up for carpooling?  If not, a cheap flight might be the way to go.

I might "have" to be down south for business that week. Let me see, what might I do in my "off" time? Decisions, decisions.....

May be at the Del Mar show on 3/29. Haven't firmed up my plans for that week.

The Long Beach shows a gas! I ran into a lot of SoCal long range fishing buddies there. They had multiple Basstanks inside with some huge bass on display (10lb. plus).  Last time I went down we stayed in town and checked out the show sales at local tackle shops, got stuff for the kid at West Coast Choppers, and went to Korean BBQ. I found some good sales at the show and scored on some promo shwag (jigs, hats, etc.) All within sight of the Queen Mary.

I'm getting ready to book my travel for the Long Beach show.

Flying in Saturday Morning (3/8) and will live at the show all day saturday.  Fly back early Sunday AM.

$72 one way from Santa Rosa to LAX on Horizon Airlines.  Not a bad deal.

Anyone else going?
