Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I'll be there 10-ish or so. Depends on when I get out of here, (Willits). I've never heard of Bullhead Flat before. Has it got a launch?
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Bullhead Flat gets muddier a lot faster than China Camp. Be careful. The launch distance isn't much different than CC.

I was out at CC today - only fishing from shore at China Camp Point (the point where Rat Rock is). I didn't have any luck other than a particularly tenacious little crab that seemed to like the taste of my hook. :smt012  There were a few PB's out as well - half a dozen or so earlier in the day - & didn't look like any of them did any good, either. The boats I could see were more or less between Rat Rock & China Camp Village (the old shrimping pier).

Of course, that doesn't mean sturge isn't out there - it was a bit of a rough day; some cold intermittent showers, even hail in early afternoon. Plus the wind was brutal at times, so it would've been tough to detect light taps, especially while actually on the water.

If the winds don't pick up again, the next couple days could be decent. The current does get movin' out there, so be prepared for that, and heed the notes about the mud. I was there 'til low tide today & it definitely would've been a haul to get back in. I think today was a slight minus tide & tomorrow is a little lower.

Good luck wherever you guys decide to go. Stay warm...!
