sigelvictory and myself "might" meet up with you. Will keep you posted. We are still thinking about Cuttings. With the Derby this weekend, it could be a good or bad thing to be out there. Will let you know, and keep in touch :smt006

How about Sunday.....?  Anyone going out?  I would be remiss in not taking advantage of this bit.

I might actually have a chance to catch a dino finally?

Hey Mike, I'm thinking about monday. The thing that worries me most is the low tide that afternoon. I got intel that it is MUDDY coming in on that low, and the incoming doesn't start till dark.
Where/what is Cuttings?
The weather looks decent monday and for a couple days after.
Where to stay in that area? I'd stay and try to fish 2 days.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Not sure what you mean about places to stay, but China Camp has a State Campground, I believe it's walkin, and I don't know if it's open this time of year, just offering some info.

Juan Erik(correct me if I'm wrong) said that if you take out above +1' it won't be too muddy that's why I'm fishin till 2/3.
Cuttings Wharf is on the Napa off 121 I checked it out and there was a ton of debris in the water. At the minus it's going to be muddy also, since I haven't been there I would stay in the channel the sides might shallow up pretty quickly. The current will be ripping outflow + Big Tide.

Yes, at China Camp it's muddy if the tide is less than +1 foot or so.  It's muddy but do-able between 0 and 1 foot... just a little bit of a workout and messy.

Alright guys, sigelvictory (Bryan) and myself are meeting at Cuttings, Monday 2/4 at 8:00AM at the marina. Looking to having some company. Hoping to get off to the side channels where some other inflow comes in and see what happens. I know that are some pretty deep holes and all. Hope that there is not too much debri. Let us know if you are coming  :smt006

Both I don't worry what's on the surface it's What's below. Having never kayaked out of there I wouldn't feel comfortable whith such a big tide.

Juan-

Fuzz and I pulled out at the very bottom of the tide and it was a mudfest coming out. There was about a 30-35 yard walk in about 2+ feet of mud to get to the rocks. Pull out early if you go... I'd hate for you to have to walk through that crap.

All you dragon slayers heading out tomorrow... good luck out there. Swing on anything that taps your line. With the water being so cold, I think that the classic pump may not come. They've been biting very lightly, small taps at best. If you aren't sure if you got a bite, swing anyways.

Tight lines,

Freddie

Ditto that... and for heaven sakes... don't set your rod down.

Will be fishing vicariously through y'all for another couple weeks... dangit!
