Well it was a little slow but an OK day, especially for Michael, the birthday boy. Launched at 730 and pulled assorted plugs for the first 3 hours up to the dam and 3 laps around heron bay and the dam cove. The wind was pretty bad but it laid down periodically. Ended up swithching to spoons and caught 2 nice trout on a 1/4 oz firetiger kastmaster and 1/8 oz thomas bouyant in gold and red. Both were caught in the narrows, one north of swallow bay and one south. Michael caught a monster trout which was great since tomorrow is his birthday. Had a great NCKA man dawg shore lunch and headed home to watch football.  :smt003 Nice to meet Pharmer + and Yellow boat, welcome to NCKA. :smt006

I had a great day at DV--my first trip there. I caught 4 nice trout on a silver kastmaster, and better yet met some of the ncka folks and sampled the "man Dawgs" thanks to Great Bass 2. Thanks to all for a great day!

Nice report Great Bass 2. Looks like you guys had a good time.
The water looks pretty clear at the narrows from the picture.

Looks like a lot of fun, interesting quote from Coastside.

Fished The Narrows today, solo nonetheless, and had a good day drifing Chartreuse PB on the flats in about 14- 17ft of water. No one else was catching fish: boaters, kayakers, bank fishers.

We enjoyed another great NCKA outing, and they're especially fun when new faces join in! Yeah, the wind was fierce at times, but the rainbow marked the Pot O'Trout. My Seps raspberry UV dodger and nightcrawler setup came through again by hooking into nice trout just beyond the rainbow but before the narrows. Nothing like Dilbeck's hog, though. WTG, BD Boy! Missed ya, Grizz--hope all is well.

Congrats... Michael.

Are you registered for AOTY?  Lots of points there.

This a good time to hit the local lakes like Del Valle, Chabot, Shadow Cliffs, and Quarry Lakes for big planter trout.

Man Dawgs are awesome!  It was a great day meeting some NCKA members with tasty food.  I can't wait to do it again.

Oh yeah!  Thanks to a very generous Scott who fed me two meals that day--man dawgs for lunch, and a fine trout for dinner that he gave me and ariane so we wouldn't go home empty-handed.
