met kayakjack at the baitshop he was headed out to china camp area. We were "dry butt" fishing-- headed out first to the shallows E of pumphouse for a few small stripers (all on grass). THen to "the spot" which is about 2mi E of china camp (you'll see a little cut on the charts) in 17feet. nice muddy water.

all released boatside but for the one that spit the hook. One clearly undersized, another around 40(maybe just legal), and one near the oversized range. Not measured since we planned to catch and release. The one we didn't see was a good one also

Some schoolie bass up in the shallows also.

we could see kayakjack in about 3/4 mile from us, but couldn't see if he hooked up or not.
I'll be heading out that way again on either Sun or mon (WAF dependent)

Nice, thanks for the report. Think I'm going to take my kids out and dry butt it on Mon.

With that said, i may 'wet butt' it-- on the yak with extra layers on Mon (same spot)
