The river is dropping to ideal levels (1000cfs)and should be the right color by the weekend.
I'm open either day Sat.or Sun. I'll try and get some Reports on Fri. and I'm looking at a drift either starting or ending at Healdsburg's Memorial Beach not often can you count on conditions to be good so far in advance because of rain and releases from the Dam. No rain predicted and I don't see them increasing the flows out of Mendo, so this is as good as it gets. If you look at the pictures from my last post the flows will be about half of that. Looking at a 7/7:30 launch after dropping shuttle down stream.

Hey Mike,

I'm going to be fishing the Russian on Sunday with a guy from work (non-yak)... probably just north of Memorial up to Cloverdale.  Hope to see you drift through.

I'm going to Cirque Du Soleil on Saturday, but can probably make a Sunday run.

I got some reports from yesterday the water has over 24" of visabilty which is perfect for bait so it should be good for lures on the weekend.
Drift boats between Mem. and Steelhead are hooking 5/6 fish per boat.
I had a friend wade fishing Dry Creek and he caught none but saw 12 fish landed in about 3/4 hours. A lot of the regulars had limits or better. I'm pumped.

Right on. I'll give you a call.

Will the P15 work in the river or would I be better off with the Caper.

I've drifted the river in the Caper before, but never the P15.

Will same anchor set-up for SPB work for the RR?

I haven't paddled either but a short boat turns better and doesn't spin in the eddys as much. Ask Mooch or JD they have both done that drift in P15s.
Anchor should be OK as long as you can relese it
