That place looks familiar. Maybe Fitch mountain?  good small mouth fishing there right?

I'll tell you one thing Nakaoi is one tough dude if that was me at the launch I'm getting dry and warm before I try it again. He just flipped it over and got back on true to the Kayak Kowboy Spirit.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Naoaki, didn't you even take a class on swift water about a month ago?
& yes Brian, I took that class and taught me how scary the rivers are...

Of course you will be tormented with these shots for years . Great job Mike.

 Im there!
I started "riding in kayaks" in my late teens, I was athletic and understood the water, but it wasnt until I had a group of mentors help with the concepts of paddling that I was able to evolve into a kayaker. I dont think I ever would have arrived and may even be dead by now if it wasnt for those great teachers.
The picture looks like a lateral current grabbed the edge of your boat and you werent able to counter.
Fishing gear/weight makes it even more challenging when you highside. A simple thing like putting your right ear on your right shoulder may have prevented your swim. sounds crazy, I know.
Someone like swellrider can teach you those counter measures. I could definately use some help too and have been wanting to make some time to get up there. Lets do it.
