Hit San Pablo Bay today with Lost Coast Joe in the PB. Anchored on the N/W edge of the Shell bank approx. 0900 hrs. We fished the last of the incoming with no luck and at the top of the tide decided to move to shallower water. We repositioned to the Hamilton flats to fish the outgoing (minus) tide. Joe hooked one small Striper and that was it until approx. 1400 hrs. I landed a 54 inch Sturgeon (kept) and Joe caught and released a 48 inch Sturgeon. Both fish were hooked using grass Shrimp in 10 ft. of water. We were surprised to find the water fairly clear. After those storms we were hoping for that all too familiar shade of mud that the Sturgeon love but maybe another storm or two. We did not have a temp gauge but the water felt COLD. The bay is VERY close, pray for more rain.

Thanks for the report and congratulations on some solid fish!

You fished the cleanest part of the tide and the incoming tide was pretty small... I'd bet it muddied up good toward the latter part of that big outgo.

Abking... Sturgeon is hard to beat as tablefare.  Very firm (like a tender pork chop) and mild.

Nice job. Might have to give it another shot very soon.
I have a creek in my back yard and it was running uncharacteristically clear. I think that maybe there wasn't as much run off as normal because the ground has been so dry. A lot of the water just got soaked up.
