:smt006 Has anyone in the group fished for steelhead with success in The Navarro, Noyo, or Ten Mile Rivers?   What time of year?  I'm a little unclear on the regulations for steelhead here (wild v.s. hatchery, etc.) have just emailed DFG about them.   -Matt

Pretty sure all those rivers are wild steelhead only and would make that catch and release but check the regulations to see if there are bait/no bait restrictions.

The Navarro can be good it's been improving each year. Never tried the other rivers but I have tried the Albion hard for Nada, head South the Garcia has big fish, but they move up quick so 2 or 3 days after a storm is the time to go Start at Hwy 1 go down stream to the Miner hole fish that during the incoming then move up with the fish.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Matt, the rivers need to be open (enough flow), which is posted by DFG, and one hatchery fish can be kept.  However, that's sort of a trick because there are no hatcheries on these creeks. Hatchery fish are missing the adipose fin.  Essentially it's all C&R.  Also, you need a steelhead card.  I'm going to hit the Noyo soon when the river greens up.  I'll send you a message.
