My buddy Jerry called Sat. and offered a day on the Delta in his PB - could not pass it up. Met at 9:00 AM on Sunday - very cold and windy - the bait shop weather eguipment said wind chill factor was 34! We were into fly fishing so things didn't look good. Set out on a choppy run across Frank's and found a levy wall that broke the wind and produced a couple of dink stripers in an hour or so. Fished some cuts as the wind started to lay down - no love and no sun either. Decided to give Milldred a shot and found some good fish - about a dozen between us - from 5# to close to 10#. Had a double hook-up too! All on flies and all released to spawn and fight another day. The sun never showed until the final hour - water temps in the mid 40's but they are still around and willing.  HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! Tom

Yak or no yak, that is quite an accomplishment.  Way to go gentlemen.  Enjoyed the pictures as well!

Pelican nice work. Did you get them where those stickup are or are were they spread out a bit. Those stick up where the photo is have produced quite a few fish for me in the past.

Reelfish - we got them in the "wood" although the flats and coves seem to produce at times as well. It's a matter of finding them.

Tote - We used several different patterns - almost all of them chartreuse & white. My best fly that day was a chartreuse & white bucktail with a silver mylar "flash - tail" tied in the "bend - back" style for fewer snags in the trees. When the water is that cold - mid 40's - it pays to work the fly in a slower stop & go fashion. The takes were often more tap-atap-tap than a real hard grab. Tom
