Adam, are you shrugging or are your shoulders just all padded up with the million layers you have on?

I'm fricken DEFROSTING Brian!  as in SHIVERING!
Nice try Adam,

But you know, I don't see anywhere in the rules that states you can't measure and enter an undersized fish.  The only rule that comes close is #6 "No out off season or oversize (fish larger than the legal limit per species) may be entered."  I'm guessing that loop hole in the rules probably needs to be fixed, but until then, I think you could have claimed your 40-60? points and bumped Danglin down a notch.

Brian

i'm trying to get Don to lend me "HIS / THAT" rolled-up-blue-one he uses first....and if he can't squeeze me 55"?  then I'll have to resort to "stickin it" to Bill and his lack of consuling a lawyer before printing the rules and thinking that were gonna follow the "unwritten ones" too.

Hi Troy,

From Interstate freeway 80, take Highway 12 exit toward Suisun City/Rio Vista.  Stay on 12 for about 2 miles, make a right turn onto Grizzly Island Rd. (there's a Mc Donald at this intersection).  Stay on this road for about 5.5miles and you'll see the bridge/launch area.  Hang left toward the parking lots and make imediate right turn into the parking lot/launch area.

Also,  I was talking with the Host of the Beldens landing,  Seems there have been some break in's....

Might want to pay the $ 5 Bucks....

So, if ya see anybody suspicious around there, don't be shy about calling 911 and ask for Solano County Sherriff,

They are going to try and step up patrols, according to the Host ......

Keep pluggin' away, Adam. Twenty years of non-yak fishing only got me one decent-sized dino...unfortunately it was 6 inches over the limit. But what a blast to fight it on 14 pound test at Montezuma Slough.

If you are wearing waders then the Lil' John could be your best friend. Plenty of room to slide it inside and take care of business w/o having to leave the comfort of your yak.
A definite necessity if you bring a thermos. Trust me on that one.
I would definitely pay the $5 for parking just for the comfort factor of not having to worry as much about break-ins.
With this rain your day may come very very soon Adam. Maybe next time I will bring a Nerf football and we can play catch while we wait for the sturgies to bite. At least I know we will be anchored far enough apart to throw the ball and not close enough to hand it off. :smt044

I was under the impression that she said the breakin's did happen in the lot, and they were cars that were

left there @ night.  The local party monkeys like to hang out that way.

But, Some have happened during the day too,

It was good seeing you again, ADAM...nice report and pics. And good to meet you, Mike/TOTE and the rest of the guys.

Chuck and I were the only ones left on the water. The water was nearly flat, close to a glassy state. It was a wonderful evening. That was my very first dino-hunt and, though with no bite, I had a great time (Thanks again Chuck for hooking me up).

I finish my bowline and anchor system last night. I got a 5lb foldable anchor from west marine. Is the weight sufficient enough? do I need a back up anchor just in case it snag and I have to cut it off?

No, and yes...

5lbs is a little light but you can wire some extra weights on it,  I'm going to bring a extra anchor for now on, you can

easily leave it in the car and get it if ya need it ( Scare off the local Banditos too :smt002 )

 Absolutly Mr. Hunter....

Ya Know,  It looks like our Main Rule man has found you a loop hole,  you have a Pic,

Do a close measure with what is in the pic *( Your Face!! :smt005 )and error on good taste... If that's possible :smt044 :smt044

There are/is more than one shot on the AOTY board that has measurements with no tape on the fish,

or a measurement where the fish had been..........

BTW...I always took a 1/2 inch or a full inch to the lesser with " Blue Magic ",

so following my rule, probably would not have helped..... :smt002 ......... Danglin
