I AM LOOKING TO FIND SOMEWHERE TO GO FISH FOR ROCKFISH AND LINGCOD ON FRIDAY JULY 15TH. WAS HOPING ON SOME INFO ON ANY SPOTS CLOSE TO SHORE AS HAVE NOT BEEN KAYAK FISHING FOR VERY LONG. I LIVE IN THE EAST BAY AREA. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED,THANKS

I would recommend either Half Moon Bay or Santa Cruz. Easy launches and pretty short paddles. I think the shortest paddle is Bean Hollow ( at least places I have been) but that launch is NOT recommended for new kayakers.
