Bill kindly gave me the thumbs up to plug my new website www.kayakfishingzone.com

There's no message board - you've got a great one here!

What you will find are kayak fishing stories - some 150 or so - focused on the West Coast and Baja. These are reprints of my newspaper and magazine pieces. If you've missed a Western Outdoor News kayak fishing feature, chances are you'll find it here.

NCKA folks are well represented. Here's Scwafish and Jelly slaying Medno stripers: http://www.kayakfishingzone.com/destinations/stripers.html

Tips on avoiding the tax man: http://www.kayakfishingzone.com/howto/taxman.html

Read how to get your largemouth on (starring a couple of NCKA hot sticks): http://www.kayakfishingzone.com/howto/lmb.html

Hunt Lingzilla: http://www.kayakfishingzone.com/howto/lingzilla.html

Stalk NorCal salmon (featuring a bluekayak sighting!): http://www.kayakfishingzone.com/howto/salmon.html

And much more. Please check it out: www.kayakfishingzone.com

I've GOT to get up your way and check out how you do your thing. That Mootcha Bay tournament looked incredible. Has the 2008 date been set?

Thanks for the kind words.

Paul, Moutcha Bay is every year on Labor Day weekend.  Come on up ... we'll help you on the logistics ... whatever you need, let me know and the NWKA crew will take care of you.

Cheers!

Hey Paul

Very nice site. I will take an idepth look in the next week or 2. The question is differentiation from the other kayak fishing sites. I will probably think of some possibilities. PM me if you want to discuss. Happy Holidays!!

You guys are too kind. I wrote the dates down on my calendar. If WON doesnt' have other ideas for me (like any job, you gotta go where the boss sends 'ya) I'll give it a shot.

Thanks JTF. Recognize this little news piece? http://www.kayakfishingzone.com/News/elk.html

I have a feature about Elk coming out in a few months.

I looked all over the site and realized I never posted the Big Sur story featuring Chef Stefano. He read the manuscript before he passed away, and although I would have liked to have written more about the man, it wouldn't have fit in Western Outdoors magazine. Here it is: http://www.kayakfishingzone.com/howto/chefsur.html

It is the best tribute I could give him; it doesn't seem enough. Please make his fish tacos (the recipe is on there) - I know he loved to please his friends with his food.

Paul -

Spent some time on the site and it is quite good.  :smt003 After I get done reading every article which will be soon, how will I know when new stuff is added? Not being a blog site, the issue of return will come up. BTW, in the About Us section a photo of you with some monster fish and some smak talk about your angling skills would be good although I know it goes against your humble personality.  :smt005

But I've got madd skilz! At least when it comes to photographing other people catching large fish.  :smt001

I dropped a photo or two on the about page. Thanks Scott, good suggestion.

I'll highlight the new content at the top of the front page - it's my mini-blog spot. Thanks for checking it out.

Easy ... just swing an assignment to cover the derby.  Don't you need to come up here to write some stories on the Pacific Northwest???   :smt002
