Hi Yakers:

         I need a smaller Yak for the short term because, I live in a 3 Story APT.
                                                                   Thanks

 I fished the stanislaus river in a Islander "hula" surf yak. Was a very wet day.
Ive been looking for a used Kaos if you decide to sell it and get a mini-x or sometihng.

I tried using my wave witch (10') surf boat for fishing once. @ 200# I am pushing the weight limit for effectiveness in this boat though, and it was just too tippy to concentrate on anything other than staying upright.
I think something wider like those mini x's would have worked fine, the 10' length was not a problem in relatively calm seas.

Ernie if you want to fish, neither will work...they barely float...until your on a wave face and then both come to life.  A mini-x is a great dinky fishing yak, or maybe a caper.

Hi Sean and the rest of the Gang:

            Thanks for the Heads-up. I'll be up in Ft. Bragg during Xmas.
Hope to see NCKA  Peeps at VanDamm.

Hi Ernie,

Let's meet at Van Damme over Xmas.  We live right in Mendocino.  When might you be there? To recognize me:  Skinny little grey-haired guy on a little olive colored Hobie Sport, Blue Toyota Tacoma.

Meanwhile I would take Seans' advice, anytime.

Malibu Mini-X:
L=9.25'
B=31"
W=38 lbs.
P=$550 from Sean at GWKC (delivered to Ukiah)

Ocean Kayak Caper Angler:
L=11'
B=31"
W=45 lbs
MSRP=$750. (probably can find it for less)

Three story apartment.   Ouch.  My Hobie is about 50lbs and a few pounds can really make a difference.   Hope to meet over Xmas,  -Matt

Hi Matt

         I relocated from Albion to Sunnyvale and, it hasn't been a lot of
fun except for linking up with the NCKA Gang.
        Too bad rentals have gone up. I would like to move back to
Mendocino County.
