Off to a late start but launched around 11:00am to see what we could find.  Saw some birds diving to the north, paddled through the bait ball for nada.  Spoke with a kayak fisherman on the water and he caught a large striped bass on the troll with an apex.  Paddled over to pedro point to catch a couple rock fish and that was about it.

The salmon are spotty there right now but hopefully they will be in soon.  Off the water by 2:30pm  (flat, no wind, beautiful conditions)

BTW -- the kayaker spotted a 4 ft. thresher jump out of the water near him.  He was somewhat spooked until I told him what type of shark it was.(saw the long tail)

was that you in the blue kayak. i was fishing near pedro point in the tan bimini. that thresher was pretty cool, i saw it jump a few times and i trolled by the area but no hookup.

No Chris, that was Norman on the Blue Kayak.  Talked with him for a while, about how incredible the salmon fishing was last year at linda mar.
